19jun Class

*Carlos was the only student today.

Notes:  We need to work on life skills!  I have a list from Carlos’ assessment test to refer to.  We have covered most of this, but he  missed classes, and I have not worked on it enough.

Use telephone directory
Read medical appointment cards, Rx labels, letters from hospital.
Driver’s manual excerpts
And much more.

I will have to make a long list.

Save this exercise for another class…Depending on the number of students – Childhood

Emphasis past tense

Have students interview each other about growing up: where, family, house or apartment, did they like school, were they a good student, favorite games – toys, favorite relatives – stories maybe, fave clothes – hat, outfit, fave memories – story, what they wanted to be or do as an adult – dreams, etc.

Then, have them talk about each other – rather than themselves to me/class.
